A bit of drama shown by the carbon trapping with this Malcolm Davis Shino glazed piece. It was in an atmosphere that was obviously mixed between heavy and moderately reducing flame movement. The carbon lines are directly related to the soda crystal formations during the drying process. The colors are not just black, white an orange … there is at least one area of an odd brown. I am still learning about the potential of the intriguing glaze recipe.
