Burr oak branch with leaves and acorns. The background was carved away, then shallow relief quietly accentuated the overlapping elements with added clay for more high-relief to emphasize the lively nature of the living leaves. Unglazed exterior.
(This vase was carved at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in a small demonstration studio that was built into the booth and sales area.
